Kaja Borchgrevink takes an interest in religion and development, the politics of aid, and everyday religion among Muslims in Norway - often with a focus on gender and transnational perspectives.

Kaja is currently leading the research project Religious Gender Justice Activism, examining faith-based activism in Colombia, Indonesia, Kenya, Pakistan, and at the UN.

She is working on the project Developmental Peace? Perceptions of China’s Engagement in Pakistan and Afghanistan (AsiaPeace).
